I texted on a dating site,

“Would you like to go out for a coffee?”

“I’m looking for that compelling combination of smart, interesting, and beautiful. I see from your picture that you’re beautiful.”

It worked because we are scheduled to go out tonight.

I think it’s ok in this context because there is the distance of texts through a dating website and I’m trying to be lighthearted about it.
