Like you, I very much liked the 94 adaptation, but I really liked this latest version. And in particular, Jo’s speech where she demands so much more for women, but at the same time, she is so lonely. It is amazing how much this resonated with me.

I’ve read a lot of women’s dating essays here on medium and it has inspired me to write, https://medium.com/@chrisland1966/how-to-date-a-politics-nerd-a2c7b8728110. I’m looking for a publication that will post it, but here’s a preview if you would like to read it.

I loved your assessment of the latest Little Women film adaptation. Have you seen the Netflix “Little Women” with Lea Thompson? I couldn’t get through 15 minutes. This story must be told with the backdrop of the US Civil War. There has to be the tension that their very home could be invaded by hostile armies. It’s not sufficient that “father” is away at war. I will need to power through it though, just so that I can still claim I have seen every version of “Little Women”. Maybe I’ll write about it.
