My biggest beef with Poilievre is that he mischaracterizes the current troubles facing Canada. He claims that the current inflation is demand-driven, too much money chasing too few goods. Which can happen when a government spends too much money. But the data clearly shows that the current inflation is supply driven. Starting with the supply chain problems due to Covid and then Russia invaded Ukraine causing the price of gasoline to skyrocket.

If you don't understand why something is happening, then how can you come up with policies to fix it?
