Since I started dating again a year ago, I always ask if I can kiss her. It has become a method of flirting. The ask signals that I’m interested. To wit, her response tells me a lot about her level of interest.

I don’t want to say categorically that I wouldn’t pursue a woman who told me no, I can’t kiss her. But no to that question is a pretty good signal that she is not interested.

I did go on a date and I didn’t ask to kiss her at the end. I also didn’t contact her again, and she didn’t contact me.

In my experience, women like being asked if I can kiss them at the end of a date.
