Technically it's negging. But I believe you that it was not intentional which only means you aren't the asshole in this scenario. If you think about it, some man somewhere found out that negging was effective when he did it the first time accidentally. Then he bragged to his friends and called it game. Oddly, it's less negging if you don't backpeddle and try to spare her feelings. If she's not your type then she's not your type.
