There is a lot of great stuff in here. I would add a couple of things.

I started the sex talk with my daughter when she was 5 or so, to tell her that she is a sovereign human being and that when she gets older she will invite another to touch her in her intimate areas. Who she lets do that is her choice and there is no reason to rush into it.

When she was about 12 I told her that she should wait to have sex until she’s 18. There are a lot of emotions that go with sexual intimacy, and 18-year-olds are a lot better equipped to handle that than 14-year-olds. I also told her that when she was ready to have sex that she could do it in the comfort of her own bedroom. I told her that adults maintaining virginity until marriage is an outmoded and idiotic concept. She waited until she was 17 and a half. Close enough.
