When I started dating again 4 years ago after my marriage ended I was shocked at how low the bar is for men in their 50's to be considered a "good boyfriend".

Respond to texts. Clean up after yourself. Prepare a meal. Wash the dishes. Be kind. Be patient. Listen.

In other words, do the bare minimum and you're new lady will think you are gods gift to romance. I would be appalled if I didn't benefit so much.
